Low Power 555 timer runs JT
This is a CMOS 555 timer chip running a 1 LED / 1 AA battery JT circuit at less than 10 millamps. This was Kubikop’s idea of a way to further reduce the power consumtion of a joule thief. This CMOS 555 timer chip requires very little energy to do the switching on and off of the main circuit. Scope shots of the wave form are shown here.
